 The calm, azure waters of the Arabian Gulf make for some of the best fishing experiences one can have. The warm and shallow waters provide plenty of plankton for the vast shoals of sardines that are followed not only by sailfish, but other fish as well. As a result, Dubai is one the best places in the World for Sailfish fishing.
Sea conditions are calm with good visibility and the sailfish are caught approximately 30 - 40 miles offshore in only 30 meters of water.
Other fishes include kingfish, queenfish, dolphin, long tail tuna, giant trevally, bonito, spanish mackerel, cobia and barracudas. You may also end up seeing a blue shark.
The fishing season runs from October till May. Given that this is winter season in Dubai, the temperatures are a comfortable 25 and 30°C.
